MULTI-MILLION $ DEAL WITH TELUS

July 31st , 2007- Toronto ON.  Rob Myhill, the CEO of ThinDesk, proudly announces  the company and Telus Business Solutions completed a comprehensive services and financing arrangement to allow ThinDesk to build out their  very successful “fully I.T. managed services” for SME in the Telus World Class Data and Network system.

ThinDesk’ s  Solution is based on centralized computing allowing companies to have full control of all user data regardless where they are working from; the office, on the road, or at home. The model also has proven to provide significant savings to SME, taking away the expensive capital and maintenance costs of server and infrastructure ownership and management. Mr. Myhill said in a release issued to the company’s  customers ‘ that the added pressures of compliance and governance issues surrounding the of control of data by governments and professional associations has prompted this move. Our customers in the health services, financial advisory and accountant and law professions are being asked “where is their client’s data and is it safe”.  The progressive firms are responding and are asking us to provide an IT environment that far surpass anything they could afford on their own. In the long run they see the ThinDesk Solution and our move to Telus as a competitive advantage in  servicing their clients.

Rob Myhill said  he was motivated to do the Telus agreement because of  Joe Natale, President of Telus Solutions recent comments ‘management of communications, the network and their associated technologies is increasingly found within the IT department, giving rise to a centralized "Integrated Communications Technology" function. And organizations that view communications strategically, rather than as an expense, are able to distinguish themselves.’ Mr. Myhill  went on to say that” the hundreds of millions of dollars that Telus has invested into managed services which has being available to only the largest of corporations can now be accessible to the SME marketplace through ThinDesk. Not only is the quality of the service many fold to that which many of our customers experienced in the past, we are able to bring their costs down. The biggest savings often overlooked is in wasted manpower. We are their IT department”

Dave Welch, ThinDesk’ s, C.I.O. stated that applying the Telus resources to the ThinDesk solution will enhance the quality of service significantly. The new ThinDesk Service Level Agreement providing for 99.99% up time should be the standard  all SME expect from their IT services group. He also added that the company over its five year history has brought huge savings to the management of the desktop through the use of thin clients in place of difficult to manage PC’s. Welch said” we have spent a lot on R&D with our partners and now can truly offer the PC experience without the cost , maintenance and break issues. In particular, our customers with branch offices , love the fact that they have no IT responsibilities in these environments. Now with the Telus infrastructure we are going to broaden or reach nationally and have the resources to meet this expanding marketplace”.
